Santa's Got A Brand New (Vintage) Bag

Vintage Woolrich Vest-Jac
Vintage Woolrich Mackinaw Hunting Jacket
Vintage Woolrich Vest
Vintage GLOBE MFG. CO. canvas fireman's trousers w/ plaid flannel lining
NOS vintage Carhartt hunting cap with cotton flannel lining
Vintage Red Wing boots, model 8180 circa 1994
Via this mornings LA TIMES Image section:  Glenn O'Brien, author of "How to Be a Man" and GQ's "Style Guy" columnist: "I kind of like the traditional outfit, although a tartan might be a nice variation [in] a red-based plaid. [Santa Claus] probably wears Woolrich — the really, really super-heavy wool trousers, jacket and vest that are made for hunters, which will be good so he won't be mistaken for a reindeer. He'd be wearing those American-made Red Wing boots that are really hip right now, and beards are back. Santa's more in style than ever now".

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best this Holiday Season.

Osh Kosh B'Gosh Employees during WWII circa 1944

Osh Kosh B'Gosh Employees circa 1944. The two men standing on each side are wearing the one-piece camouflage suits that Osh Kosh B'Gosh produced for the Army during World War II. The two men in the front row are also wearing Army 1st pattern one-piece herringbone twill work suits or coveralls (possibly also made by Oshkosh B'Gosh). They are seated on bleachers behind a sign reading, "They're on their way to you, Men...ON TIME!". A sign at left reads, "Let's come thru for our soldiers / They're coming thru for us." and a sign at right, "Every minute counts / 10,000 suits must be shipped by October 30."

David Beckham visits Hollywood Trading Company

Our friend Zip Stevenson shared a couple of shots of a special customer who dropped by the HTC headquarters Thursday to pick up a few pieces including a couple pairs of boots and a green bag along with ordering a denim & leather jacket from the IrregulaR line.
Seems some people get preferred parking

Looks like Becks is sporting a pair of the new IrregulaR Vintage Jump Boots. Boots have been cropped around the neck area to slightly higher above ankle along with white piping added on top, the tongue is kept at its original length, and the original soles have been replaced with white cushion soles.

Available now in all sizes. $495.00
David Beckham, one happy customer!

1930's-1940's era Cardigan Sweater SPORTS COAT aka SPA COAT

Very nice vintage multicolor wool cardigan sweater offered for sale this past Sunday by our friend and neighbor Jason, proprietor of the STARLITE ROOM. These sweaters were also know as Spa Coats, Sports Coats & Sport Sweater Coats. This particular sweater has been modified for use as a shooting jacket and features some nice details including multicolor wool (seen in close up of the button), 2 hole buttons with great pattern, keyhole stitched button holes, ribbed pockets, owner installed rifle butt should patch, hand darned repairs and one of the best felt patches seen in a long time. Had it fit, I would have snapped it up. That said, I was pleased to have helped Jason set a fair price and see this fine piece go to a happy new owner.
