SWEET-ORR & CO. UNION MADE "Ace of Spades"

More than a decade before SANFORIZED would become synonymous with pre-shrunk garments (not to mention the most excellent Work and Rugged Wear blog), Sweet-Orr & Co. had their own version with the "Ace of Spades" Shrunk overalls, "The Overalls that Don't Shrink".

The Sweet-Orr print ad from 1914 below states "All the shrink has been taken out by a special SWEET ORR process. No matter how often you wash them, SWEET -ORR "Ace of Spades" will never shorten up... not even one-sixteenth of an inch"!

Vintage Osh Kosh B'Gosh Union Made Sanforized Brown Duck Canvas Work Jacket

Osh Kosh B'GOSH four pocket cossack style jacket. Similar to the more common three pocket versions by Lee (the iconic 91B), Blue Bell, Montgomery Ward, E&W Big Buck and Hercules. Details include SANFORIZED brown duck canvas & houndstooth cotton flannel lining, corduroy collar, Talon main zipper, Talon pocket zipper with chain pull, triple stitched seams, side buckle waist adjustors & United Garment Workers of America union label.

1940's era Carhartt UNION MADE •SANFORIZED• Dark Brown Canvas Duck Cap in a rarely seen primitive style. Details include stingy brim visor and simple construction reminiscent of early "cake" type baseball caps. Really liking the elongated stitching used to secure the Carhartt Script Heart Mark Trolly Car printed label.

VINTAGE BROWN DUCK E-Z ALLS SHOP APRON w/ SELVEDGE DETAIL

1940's-1950's era shop apron in brown duck canvas with selvedge details. These type of aprons were also known as Split Leg Aprons or Semi-O'Alls. This particular model can also be referred to as a "Shorty" apron due to its shorter leg sections.
